Tasting Notes
The 2022 Château Escabes Contemplatif N°1 is a wine for Syrah and Shiraz lovers. Made in France’s Gaillac region, this Syrah-led blend also features the local varieties Duras and Braucol. Its bouquet offers aromas of spiced plum, blueberry, strawberry and menthol. A sip reveals a juicy mid-palate with more red and blue fruit, intermingled with a touch of black pepper, leather and herb. Plush tannins and fresh acidity provide structure and balance, indicating this wine will remain at its peak for another five years. An excellent match for a bowl of cassoulet.
