Tasting Notes
The Dogliani region of Piedmont, Italy, exclusively produces wine from the Dolcetto grape variety. The Osvaldo Barberis expression is sourced from the winery’s oldest vineyards. These 50-year-old vines produce an inviting wine with a deep ruby purple hue and a bouquet of spiced plum and licorice. Under a framework of supple tannins, waves of velvety dark fruit carry through to the palate, trailing off into a satisfying finish. Pair with braised beef short ribs or lasagna Bolognese.
