Tasting Note
The 2021 Marzocco di Poppiano 3BO is named after the grape it is made from Trebbiano – Tre symbolized by the number 3 and Biano shortened to BO. It is a very unique wine made from vines that are over 50 years old. A swirl of the glass releases an inviting nose of ginger, celery, white flowers and white peach. The palate is both tangy and savoury, with notes of stone fruit and citrus meeting flavours of almond and mature Parmigiano Reggiano. This gastronomic wine has enough flavour to be matched with herb and garlic-dressed escargot or to be paired with pork and napa cabbage stir fry. Serve less chilled than you would an unoaked, lighter-bodied wine, approximately 10 to 12 C in larger bowled white wine stemware. Enjoy throughout 2025.
